Golf Immersion Program
The Golf Immersion Program is the crème de la crème of group golf coaching.
Over the course of three days at Royal Wellington Golf Club, you will work closely with me through a structured program designed to help every element of your golf game.
The day’s start with a coffee and a scone in the clubhouse as we look over the days plan. We will go out and work on our games, going through a series of structured clinics until lunch time. After lunch, its game time! We head out on course, and try to put into practice what we’ve learned, then head into the clubhouse afterwards to either celebrate our wins or drown our sorrows.
Its a fun and educational few days exploring every arcane corner of the game we love, and I’d love to have you along for the experience!
The program covers:
Putting
The three elements of putting: start line, speed and green reading, and how they all interact with each other. Long putting, short putting, breaking ones, straight ones, up tiers, down tiers... Just all things putting!
Bunker Play
Not only will we cover how to get out of them first time and every time, but we will also learn how to keep them out of the other bunker waiting on the other side of the green too! Simple and practical techniques you can apply to a wide range of shots, stances and lies.
Short Game
Basic short game techniques that you can transfer to any green on any course, and how you can adjust a simple concept to hit a wide variety of shots around the green. Never find a greenside shot you don’t know how to hit again!
Driving
Drive for show, putt for dough - I don’t buy it. That 15ft consolation putt you hole feels pretty meaningless if you lose 3 balls off the tee! We look at techniques to help you add some distance to your tee shots, and some to help you make sure you find more too.
Full Swing
Owning your golf swing! I’m not one to teach everyone to swing the club the same way - it’s just not practical. So we work out how your swing function’s at its best, and how to keep there for as long as possible.
Course Management
And once you’ve got the right tools, you need to know how to use them to score your best. We look at course management across the course of 36 holes over three days. The most overlooked element of coaching and improvement, but possibly the most productive to improve!
The program is open to any and all golfers, so feel free to sign up to any of the programs that are open. It’s always nice to do it with a friend or two though, so if you’ve got a friend who needs some serious help with their game, bring them along too!
The program costs $1200 per person for Royal Wellington members, and $1300 for non-members.
